In order to develop the level of inventory we have posted all the time (usually 40-50 planes on Trade-a-Plane alone) we find inventory at several levels; direct mail (usually 10,000 mailers at a time sent to aircraft owners from the FAA database), an out-call center in Las Vegas, where we call the owners of specific planes we have an immediate need for, plus our own banner ads in various trade publications such as Trade-a-Plane, Barnstormers and Controller, among others.

For various reasons, we obviously can’t buy or broker every plane we come across. Often times there is more reconditioning needed to successfully market the plane in the timeframe we seek, or the plane is too far away to be ferried to our California Reconditioning facility or we're simply too busy with other airplanes.

This represents a truly golden opportunity for a person who has the time and resources to buy a plane way below it’s wholesale value, spend some time and money and keep the plane for themselves OR turn around and re-sell it (flip) for a handsome profit.
